The assessment is utilized to gauge an athlete’s current physical fitness status, which is paramount for program design.

We assess athletes’ movement patterns that support their daily activities. We identify the principle movements: hinge, plank, push, pull, squat, lunge, and rotation. Each body tells a story. Seeing an athlete in action explains how her/his body moves and what the role of mobility, motor control, and functional patterns (or lack thereof) have in that story. The purpose of the physical assessment is to demonstrate opportunities for improvement.
